Our wire gabion baskets are coated with Galfan, an advanced coating technology that uses a zinc and aluminum combination instead of traditional zinc. Galfan’s strength is its superior corrosion resistance which allows thinner layers to be applied. These lighter coatings help to lower production costs, while achieving optimal performance.
Galfan provides superior rust resistance over traditional galvanized wire. The zinc-aluminum coating also creates a cleaner finish, while also being much more environmentally friendly than zinc galvanizing.
